The SRH520CN contactless rotary sensor is a successor to the Penny & Giles SRH501/2P model. The device comes with additional integrated electronics and provides a CAN bus interface. It complies with ISO/DIS 11898 standards. It is suitable for sensing applications in the presence of harsh industrial environments. This can be used in various industries such as construction, agriculture, military and utility vehicles. The instrument is also useful in steelworks, marine equipment and power generating plants.

Its shaft side adheres to IP69K level of protection. On the rear side it offers IP67 protection when it is attached with the mating connector and fully engaged. The SRH520CN contactless rotary sensor uses 9-30Vdc unregulated supply and is available in two configuration modes which are J1939 or CANopen. J1939 provides factory set configuration with regard to Node ID and Baud Rate.
